Tehran: The Iranian Foreign Ministry has confirmed an ongoing exchange of messages with the United States, facilitated by mediators. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei highlighted this development in a recent press briefing, noting that mediators are actively engaged in their mission.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Baghaei discussed the implications of recent US military actions, describing them as a continuation of hostilities that started on February 28th. He accused the United States of violating all the provisions of an existing Memorandum of Understanding, thereby undermining the conducive environment for dialogue and betraying diplomacy for the third time.

Baghaei reiterated Iran’s stance on the strategic Strait of Hormuz, asserting that Iran would not allow it to be used as a tool by aggressors to threaten national security. He emphasized Iran’s commitment to genuine diplomacy and dialogue as means to resolve crises and ensure the freedom of navigation through the Strait.
