Baghdad: The tasks assigned to the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces represent the fundamental pillar for ensuring unity of command and control and a rapid executive response across the military and security establishment, spokesperson of the Commander-in-Chief Sabah Al-Numan said on Monday. “The tasks assigned to the Office of the Commander-in-Chief represent the fundamental pillar for ensuring unity of command and control and a rapid executive response throughout the military and security establishment,” Al-Numan told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), adding that “the Office of the Commander-in-Chief’s foremost duty lies in field supervision and the close monitoring of the implementation of the Commander-in-Chief’s orders and directives with the highest levels of efficiency and military discipline, in a manner that reinforces integration among all our military units and formations.”

According to Iraqi News Agency, the tasks carried out by the Commander-in-Chief’s Office are seen as critical to maintaining a cohesive command structure and ensuring swift response capabilities within Iraq’s military and security sectors. Al-Numan emphasized that the office adheres to established legal procedures and standing orders, which are instrumental in safeguarding the security institution and enhancing coordination to achieve strategic objectives, such as protecting national security.

Al-Numan further stated that enforcing the law and consolidating strict institutional procedures are essential for preserving state authority and honoring the sacrifices of its citizens. The office operates with a unified military responsibility, prioritizing coordination among various military and security agencies as a foundational element for Iraq’s stability and the protection of its national resources.
