Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi met on Monday with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Iraq, Mr. Daniel Krebber. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation across various fields in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both countries.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the meeting also addressed regional and international developments, underscoring the importance of strengthening stability in the region and advancing dialogue and cooperation to address shared challenges, in a manner that contributes to consolidating international peace and security.

The Prime Minister highlighted the government’s program for implementing economic, financial, and administrative reforms, its efforts to combat corruption, build efficient state institutions, and enhance the investment environment. He also emphasized his keenness to see German companies play an active role in various development, service, and industrial projects.

In turn, the German Ambassador reaffirmed his country’s support for the Iraqi government’s efforts to promote stability, continue combating corruption, and implement economic, financial, and administrative reforms. He also expressed Germany’s commitment to expanding cooperation and partnership with Iraq in a manner that serves the shared interests of the two friendly countries.
