Baghdad: The National Intelligence Service has successfully facilitated the return of an Iraqi citizen who had been detained in Syria. The citizen, Rahim al-Daraji, aged 53, was detained on Syrian soil for over 20 days before being safely brought back to Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the National Intelligence Service issued a press release stating that al-Daraji was detained due to suspicions of security-related offenses. He was working as a driver transporting passengers between Iraq and Syria when he was apprehended. The intelligence agency’s efforts have now ensured his safe return to his homeland.
