Baghdad: President Nizar Amidi emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the authorities and ensuring the success of the legislative process. A presidential statement indicated that the President received, on Monday, at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, the head of the Azm parliamentary bloc, Mahmoud al-Qaisi. During the meeting, they discussed the political and security developments in the country and stressed the importance of consolidating cooperation and coordination between the constitutional authorities and political forces, in order to enhance stability and advance the process of reconstruction and reform.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Amidi emphasized the necessity of continuing to work with a spirit of national responsibility, prioritizing the country’s best interests, enabling the Parliament to fulfill its legislative role and enact laws that meet the aspirations of the citizens, and supporting the government in implementing its ministerial program, applying reforms, and combating corruption.

For his part, Mahmoud al-Qaisi expressed his appreciation for the President’s positions supporting dialogue and national consensus, affirming the Azm parliamentary bloc’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at strengthening stability and unifying the national ranks.
