Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi and German Ambassador to Iraq Daniel Krieber have underscored the significance of bolstering stability in the region by adopting dialogue and cooperation to tackle common challenges. Their discussions aimed at contributing to the consolidation of international peace and security.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Prime Minister’s office highlighted that Al-Zaidi hosted the German Ambassador on Monday. During their meeting, they explored bilateral relations and potential avenues to enhance joint cooperation across various sectors to serve the mutual interests of Iraq and Germany.

The dialogue also extended to cover regional and international developments, reiterating the necessity of strengthening stability and promoting cooperative dialogue to address shared challenges, ultimately supporting global peace and security efforts.

Prime Minister Al-Zaidi outlined the government’s ongoing program focused on implementing economic, financial, and administrative reforms. He emphasized efforts to combat corruption, build effective state institutions, and improve the investment climate, with a particular interest in encouraging active involvement from German companies in development, service, and industrial projects.

The German Ambassador expressed unwavering support for the Iraqi government’s initiatives to bolster stability, combat corruption, and pursue comprehensive reforms. He conveyed Germany’s eagerness to deepen cooperation and partnership with Iraq, aiming to advance the mutual interests of the two nations.
