Jerusalem: The Israeli army has announced the interception of two drones near the Jordanian border. The operation occurred in the airspace close to the Dead Sea, as reported on Monday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Israeli army confirmed that the drones were intercepted without breaching Israeli territory. The military’s protocols were followed, and no sirens or alerts were issued since the drones did not pose a direct threat to populated areas within Israel.

The military has launched an immediate investigation to determine the origin of the drones and identify the party responsible for their deployment.
