Baghdad: Iraqi artist Hamed Al-Bahar has unveiled his new song, “Karkh and Rusafa,” marking a significant addition to his musical repertoire. Al-Bahar, who composed the song, collaborated with poet Ahmed Al-Mayali for the lyrics and Ali Abu Zein for the arrangement. The song celebrates the cultural and historical essence of Baghdad, specifically highlighting the iconic districts of Karkh and Rusafa.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Bahar explained that the title “Karkh and Rusafa” symbolizes the love and beauty of Baghdad, with the Tigris River serving as a natural divider between the two districts. The song has been brought to life through a video art style, enhancing its thematic focus on the city’s heritage. Al-Bahar also hinted at the release of more songs in the near future, indicating ongoing creative projects.
