Baquba: More than 50,000 Iranian visitors entered through the Al-Mundhiriya border crossing. The Al-Mundhiriya border crossing in Diyala province witnessed the entry of over 50,000 Iranian pilgrims to perform the Arba’een pilgrimage rituals during the past 24 hours.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a government source reported that the Al-Mundhiriya crossing, northeast of Baquba, saw the influx of Iranian pilgrims arriving to participate in the Arba’een pilgrimage rituals. It is anticipated that the number of pilgrims will increase in the coming hours, with visitors from other Islamic countries joining during the peak period, expected to last for a week before the numbers start to decline as pilgrims embark on their return journey.

The source added that dozens of service tents have been established along the main roads, particularly the route connecting Al-Mundhiriya and Baquba towards Baghdad. These tents aim to provide necessary services to the pilgrims traveling through the Al-Mundhiriya crossing to visit the holy shrines in Karbala.
