Nineveh: Nineveh Governor Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil has confirmed that the local government is moving forward with a comprehensive plan aimed at improving the health sector. During a visit to al-Shikhan Hospital, he highlighted the local government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare services in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Dakhil’s visit was intended to directly assess the hospital’s current situation, evaluate the level of services provided, and understand the needs of the medical and healthcare staff. Discussions centered on identifying the requirements necessary for developing hospital infrastructure and acquiring essential medical equipment and supplies.

In his statements, al-Dakhil emphasized that the governorate plans to collaborate with the Nineveh Health Department and other relevant authorities. This collaboration aims to create a strategy for rehabilitating and expanding al-Shikhan Hospital. Furthermore, the plan includes studying the potential establishment of new health centers in the al-Shikhan district and its surrounding areas. The primary objective is to address the decline in health service quality, alleviate the burden on existing health institutions, and ensure that all citizens have access to necessary medical care.
