Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi has instructed the immediate convening of an emergency meeting of the National Security Ministerial Council. This directive was issued on Wednesday in response to recent developments impacting the nation’s security.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Security Media Cell released a statement confirming that the Prime Minister, who also serves as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, has ordered this urgent gathering of the National Security Council. The prompt action comes in light of the airstrikes that targeted the country earlier in the day, escalating concerns over national security.
