Baghdad: The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced on Wednesday that a number of its headquarters were subjected to treacherous attacks by American and Saudi forces, confirming that, according to initial information, these attacks resulted in the martyrdom of a number of people and the injury of others, while this targeting was considered a very dangerous escalation and a violation of Iraq’s sovereignty.

According to Iraqi News Agency, a statement issued by the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) stated that ‘a number of official PMF headquarters in various parts of Iraq were subjected to treacherous terrorist attacks launched by US and Saudi forces, which, according to initial information, resulted in the martyrdom of a number of people and the injury of others, as well as material damage to a number of buildings and properties belonging to the PMF.’

The statement added, “We consider this attack a highly dangerous escalation, a violation of Iraq’s sovereignty, and an attack on its official security institutions.” It emphasized that “the relevant authorities are monitoring the situation on the ground, while the process of assessing losses and evaluating damages is ongoing.”
