Baghdad: The Presidency of the Republic expressed its condemnation on Wednesday of the bombing that targeted Popular Mobilization Forces headquarters, affirming that this attack constitutes a flagrant violation of Iraqi sovereignty. The Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): ‘The Presidency of the Republic condemns the bombing that targeted the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces in a number of areas, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of a number of personnel, and considers it an unacceptable attack and a flagrant violation of Iraqi sovereignty and a targeting of its official security institutions, in contravention of the rules of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.’

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Presidency emphasized the severity of the attack, highlighting its impact on the stability and security of Iraq. The bombing not only led to the loss of life and injuries among the Popular Mobilization Forces personnel but also posed a threat to the integrity of Iraq’s security institutions. The statement underscored the importance of respecting international law and the United Nations Charter, which the attack blatantly disregarded.
