Baghdad: The Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, Qasim al-Araji, affirmed Iraq's commitment to supporting regional security and stability and strengthening cooperation and partnerships with friendly countries in areas of mutual interest.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Araji's office stated in a press release that the advisor met with the Russian Ambassador to Iraq, Elbrus Kutrashev. During the meeting, they discussed prospects for joint cooperation between Iraq and Russia and ways to enhance bilateral relations to serve the common interests of both countries and their peoples. They also addressed the latest regional and international security and political developments.
