Baghdad: The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, has reiterated Iraq's aspiration to serve as a bridge for communication between nations rather than a battleground for resolving disputes. This statement was made during a meeting with the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Iraq, Xiang Bo, held at al-Hakim's office in Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations and discussing the current regional developments and their implications on global peace and stability. Al-Hakim expressed his steadfast support for the Iraqi government's reform initiatives and its commitment to combating corruption.

Al-Hakim articulated Iraq's commitment to maintaining an open stance toward both regional and international landscapes. He emphasized the importance of China to Iraq, highlighting China's robust economic, industrial, and technological capabilities as pivotal to Iraq's development. Furthermore, he urged for a reduction in tensions within the region and called upon major global powers to actively contribute to restoring stability.
