Baghdad: Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ali Faleh al-Zaidi, visited the headquarters of the Counter-Terrorism Service to evaluate its combat and administrative readiness. The visit aimed to address the Service's needs and explore ways to enhance its capabilities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Zaidi's visit commenced with a tour of an exhibition displaying the Service's weapons, equipment, and military supplies. He was briefed on the latest systems and equipment, focusing on their role in executing combat duties and special operations.

The Prime Minister chaired a meeting with the Director of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the Head of the Counter-Terrorism Service, and other commanders and officers. The Head of the Service provided an update on combat duties, readiness levels, and strategies for improving performance and operational capabilities.

Al-Zaydi praised the members of the Counter-Terrorism Service for their role in shaping the new Iraq, highlighting their sacrifices and courage as symbols of honor and devotion. He emphasized the need to maintain high fighting spirit and reinforce values of heroism, discipline, and courage.

The government is dedicated to supporting the wounded and ensuring the families of martyrs receive care, al-Zaidi stated. He also stressed the importance of maintaining physical fitness and meeting the Service's needs for weapons and supplies to enhance readiness and efficiency in fulfilling national duties.
