Baghdad: The General Authority of Customs denied reports circulating in some media outlets and on social media regarding a decision to exempt solar energy systems from customs duties and taxes by 100%.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Authority clarified that the circulating news is inaccurate and not based on any decision issued by it. It called on media outlets and news sources to be accurate in publishing information and to obtain news from official sources within the Authority.

The General Authority of Customs affirmed its continued application of existing customs procedures and regulations in accordance with legal frameworks and approved instructions.
