Baghdad: Diyala University has established three new academic departments as part of its strategic plan to develop academic specializations in line with scientific and technological advancements and the demands of the labor market. University President Tahseen Hussein Mubarak shared the details of this expansion, emphasizing the university's commitment to modernizing its educational system.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Mubarak stated that the new academic departments include Financial and Banking Sciences in the College of Administration and Economics, Visual Arts and Digital Design in the College of Fine Arts, and Automation Engineering and Smart Agriculture in the College of Agriculture. He highlighted that this initiative aligns with the university's vision to prepare students with the necessary knowledge and skills to compete both locally and regionally.
Mubarak further explained Diyala University's commitment to creating high-quality programs tailored to digital and technological transformations. This approach aims to enhance graduate employment opportunities and enable their effective contribution to the national development process. The university also focuses on providing an educational environment based on innovation and scientific research, reinforcing its position as a leading institution in the knowledge industry.
He noted that the university is actively updating its curricula and introducing new specializations that bridge academic and applied aspects.
