Baghdad: The Iranian army announced a suicide drone attack targeting US centers and bases in Bahrain, in the 26th phase of Operation "Thunderbolt."
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the suicide drones targeted "electricity generators," "navigation systems," and "administrative and support buildings" belonging to the US military at Bahrain's Sheikh Isa base. The statement emphasized that "these attacks, which continued over the past few days and peaked last night, have so far caused significant damage to equipment and US troop deployment centers, despite the multiple defense systems and base fortifications."
The statement added that "Sheikh Isa base is considered one of the most important and sensitive US bases in the Gulf region, hosting reconnaissance aircraft and serving as a major center for helicopter and drone maintenance." It further noted that "the repeated attacks by the Iranian armed forces have inflicted serious damage on the combat capabilities and combat support of the US forces stationed at that base."
