Damascus: President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmed al-Sharaa, engaged in discussions with the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, and his delegation at the Peoples Palace in Damascus. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the discussions focused on enhancing cooperation and coordination between the two sides, particularly in the economic sector. Both leaders addressed the latest developments in the region, aiming to bolster security and stability while fostering regional cooperation. The meeting also covered a number of issues of common interest, underscoring the importance of maintaining strong bilateral relations.
