President of the Republic: Justice for Yazidi Survivors and the Preservation of Their Dignity is a National Responsibility

Baghdad: President Nizar Amidi affirmed on Wednesday that justice for Yazidi survivors and the preservation of their dignity is a national responsibility that cannot be compromised.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Presidential Media Office stated in a press release that President Nizar Amidi received a delegation of Yazidi, Christian, Turkmen, and Shabak women survivors at the Peace Palace in Baghdad. Discussions focused on their situation and ways to strengthen their rights and provide the necessary support to empower and reintegrate them into society.

The statement added that during the meeting, which was also attended by Minister of Justice Khalid Shawani, the President emphasized that justice for survivors and the preservation of their dignity is a national responsibility that cannot be compromised. The importance of continuing to care for them and providing the requirements for their comprehensive recovery, including psychological, social, health, and economic support, was noted.

The president explained, according to the statement, the need to work on the effective implementation of programs and laws that guarantee their rights and consolidate justice, reflecting the state's commitment to protecting all its components and preserving the dignity of its citizens.
