Baghdad: The head of the Border Ports Authority, Omar Al-Waeli, confirmed on Wednesday that the reverse flow of pilgrims attending the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein continues through the border crossings. Al-Waeli emphasized that the plan for managing the return of these pilgrims will remain active until every pilgrim has departed from Iraq.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Waeli stated, "The return movement of pilgrims is still ongoing through the border crossings." He reiterated that the plan for the Arba'een pilgrimage to Imam Hussein will not conclude until all pilgrims have exited the country. This ensures that the movement of individuals is managed effectively and efficiently through the designated points of exit.

Further supporting the scale of the pilgrimage, the Security Media Cell announced last Monday that over 4.8 million pilgrims had entered Iraq to commemorate the Arbaeen pilgrimage. This figure highlights the significant influx of pilgrims and underscores the importance of a well-coordinated return plan to manage the movement of such a large number of participants.
