Iraq Rejects Forced Displacement in Jerusalem, Urges Global Action

Baghdad: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein announced on Wednesday that Iraq rejects attempts at forced displacement in Jerusalem, and called for international action to stop (Israeli) violations. In his address to the Arab ministerial meeting on Jerusalem, attended by a correspondent from the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Hussein stated, "Iraq rejects the continued Israeli violations in Jerusalem," adding that "Iraq reiterated its condemnation of Israeli practices in Jerusalem."

According to Iraqi News Agency, Hussein emphasized "the unity of the Arab position in the face of Israeli actions," noting that "Iraq reaffirmed its support for the Palestinian people's right to self-determination." He affirmed that "Iraq rejects all attempts at forced displacement and settlement in Jerusalem," noting that "protecting Jerusalem is a collective responsibility."

He called for "international action to stop the violations in Jerusalem."
