Diwaniyah: The governor of Diwaniyah, Abbas al-Zamili, has reiterated his commitment to continuing the battle against corruption within the region's government institutions and departments. This effort aims to address the pervasive issue of administrative and financial misconduct.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Zamili communicated through the governorate's media outlet that the ongoing campaign to combat corruption includes all individuals involved, without exception. He emphasized that tackling corruption is a collective responsibility that extends to the local government as well.
The anti-corruption initiatives have already led to the arrest of several municipal directors and employees following the exposure of corruption cases involving billions of dinars.
