Najaf: Hundreds of university and institute staff in Najaf Governorate demonstrated to demand their rights, which they consider legitimate and deserved.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, one of the organizers stated that "the most important demands are the cancellation of Article 10 of the Ministry of Finance's circular and the inclusion of records for calculating service, qualifications, promotions, and allowances in the August salary, along with setting a fixed timeframe for salary disbursement, as was previously the case, which is the 16th of each month."

The demonstrators emphasized that their gatherings to demand their rights will continue through sit-ins in front of university gates, followed by a unified sit-in in front of the Ministry of Finance by all universities if these demands are not met.
