Karbala: The Chief of Staff of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Abdul Aziz al-Muhammadawi, has directed the initiation of the second phase of support operations in the holy city of Karbala.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the PMF revealed that the Chief of Staff instructed the service and engineering units to commence this second phase of operations. This directive follows the conclusion of the Arba'een pilgrimage to the shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
