Baghdad: Two suspects were arrested in Baghdad for stealing money and two kilograms of gold jewelry. Police forces apprehended the individuals and recovered the stolen items in the Al-Hurriya district of the city.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Al-Karkh Police Command released a statement revealing that the Al-Karkh Anti-Crime Directorate/Al-Hurriya Division successfully detained the suspects. These individuals, identified as repeat offenders, were implicated in the theft of a safe from a residence, which contained the gold jewelry and a substantial sum of money.
The statement further detailed that the suspects admitted to the crime, and following their confession, the necessary legal procedures were initiated to refer them to the judiciary. The stolen items, including the gold and money, have been recovered as part of the investigation.
