Cairo: The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the start dates for the 2026-2027 season of the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup. This announcement details the schedule for all stages of the tournaments, culminating in the final match.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the schedule shared by CAF outlines that the first preliminary round of the competitions will commence in September. The group stage is set to begin on November 27 and will continue through to January 24, 2027. The knockout rounds are scheduled for March and April, with the season concluding in May 2027 with the final match.
The prize money for the tournaments remains consistent with previous years. The winner of the CAF Champions League will receive $6 million, while the CAF Confederation Cup winner will be awarded $4 million.
