Erbil: The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) parliamentary bloc has made a strong demand for compensation for the Yazidi community and the establishment of a secure environment to facilitate their return.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the KDP parliamentary bloc released a statement coinciding with the summer forty-day festival, Chelª Havinª, extending congratulations to Yazidis in Kurdistan, Iraq, and globally. The statement highlighted the critical need for ensuring the legitimate rights of all religious and ethnic groups while fostering peaceful coexistence.

The bloc's statement underlined the necessity for compensating the Yazidis and creating conditions conducive to their safe return, aiming to alleviate their ongoing struggles.
