Baghdad: National Security Advisor Qasim al-Aboudi affirmed that Iraq supports dialogue as a means to resolve conflicts and establish peace in the region and the world.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the media office of the National Security Advisory released a statement following a meeting between National Security Advisor Qasim al-Aboudi and the French Charg© d'Affaires in Iraq, Beno®t Comborio. The meeting was held to discuss and further develop the friendly relations and cooperation between Iraq and France, catering to the mutual interests of both nations and their peoples.

During the meeting, both parties underscored the significance of reducing tensions in the region and advocated for a return to dialogue and diplomacy as the optimal approach to resolving ongoing disputes and conflicts. Al-Aboudi reiterated Iraq's commitment to dialogue, focusing on stability and development that benefits countries and their citizens, rather than war and conflict, which lead to destruction, devastation, and setback.

He further highlighted Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zubaidi's efforts in building national institutions with independent sovereign decision-making capabilities, aiming to establish a robust state with balanced international relations aligned with Iraq's national interests and the well-being of its people.

The French Charg© d'Affaires, Beno®t Comborio, expressed France's unwavering support for Iraq across various sectors and endorsed the Iraqi government's program, which aims to enhance economic and security standards while laying the foundation for a strong and prosperous state.
