Baghdad: Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National Wisdom Movement, received Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi at his office. They exchanged condolences on the occasion of Arba'een, the fortieth day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), and commended all the popular and governmental efforts exerted to ensure the success of this Husseini ritual.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from al-Hakim's office indicated that al-Zaidi and al-Hakim emphasized the necessity of addressing the financial crisis by diversifying sources of income and oil export outlets. Al-Hakim praised the government's approach to establishing genuine partnerships with countries in the region and the world.

He reiterated his support for the government's reform agenda and its efforts to combat corruption, and stressed the importance of completing the cabinet.
