Baghdad: Diyala police said on Sunday they had arrested two suspects wanted under Article 4 of Iraq's Anti-Terrorism Law in two separate security operations.
According to Iraqi News Agency, Diyala Police Command stated that, as part of ongoing security efforts to pursue wanted individuals and enhance security and stability, the Third Diyala Emergency Regiment, in cooperation with the Diyala Directorate of the National Security Service, arrested a suspect wanted under Article 4 (Terrorism) in the Al-Mafraq area west of Baquba.
The statement added that, in a separate security operation, Al-Mansouriya Police Department, together with National Security Service units and Al-Mansouriya Intelligence units, arrested another suspect wanted under Article 4 (Terrorism) within its area of responsibility.
It said both operations were carried out under the direct supervision of Diyala Police Commander Maj. Gen. Mohammed Kazem Atiyah as part of ongoing efforts to pursue wanted suspects and enforce the law in a manner that contributes to consolidating security and stability across the province.
