Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated on Sunday that negotiations between Iran and the Sultanate of Oman regarding navigation in the Strait of Hormuz are in their final stages. Araqchi made the announcement during a cabinet meeting, emphasizing that the discussions are nearing completion.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, earlier on Sunday, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that it had diverted 35 commercial vessels and disrupted two others since the resumption of the US naval blockade against Iran. The actions by CENTCOM highlight ongoing tensions in the region as Iran and Oman work to finalize their negotiations over the vital waterway.
