Al-walid: A person was apprehended at the Al-Walid border crossing while attempting to illegally enter Syria by concealing themselves inside an oil tanker.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Border Ports Authority announced the arrest, revealing that the incident occurred at the Al-Walid border crossing. The Authority disclosed in a press release that their detachments successfully thwarted the illegal crossing attempt into Syrian territory when they discovered an individual hidden within the cabin of a tanker truck loaded with crude oil.

The Authority provided further details, explaining that during a routine inspection of tankers entering through the crossing gate, the person was found hiding inside the cabin with the alleged intention of leaving the country illegally. Both the driver and the infiltrator were detained, with a formal report filed against them. They have been referred to the Al-Walid police station for further legal proceedings.
