Karbala: Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi conducted a field visit to the holy city of Karbala on Monday evening, where he inspected the flow of pilgrims and mourners participating in the commemoration of Arba'een of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Zaidi followed up on the provision of services and organization for the millions of pilgrims. He also met with a number of citizens and volunteers who were serving and assisting in the Husseini processions, health and service teams, and other activities and events accompanying the pilgrimage.

The statement added: "A number of citizens who met with the Prime Minister praised the government's recent measures in combating corruption and restricting weapons to the state, emphasizing their support for these steps that enhance security and stability, contribute to supporting the national economy, and strengthen Iraq's sovereignty."
