Baghdad: The Agricultural Investments Department has successfully completed the process of granting and renewing licenses and certificates for projects focused on grain storage, drying, and sifting. This initiative aims to support and regulate agricultural investment activities, ensuring the efficient operation of facilities crucial to agricultural production.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Plant Production Division, part of the Agricultural Investments Department, has issued seven establishment certificates for refrigerated and frozen storage facilities this year. Additionally, six completion certificates have been finalized, along with the renewal of several establishment certificates and licenses for existing projects. These efforts are part of the department's continuous work to organize and monitor agricultural activities.

The operation of refrigerated and frozen storage facilities plays a crucial role in preserving agricultural products under optimal conditions, ensuring their availability during low production periods. This helps maintain product quality and reduce losses due to spoilage. Grain cleaning and sifting facilities further enhance the agricultural process by removing impurities and preparing grain for marketing. Similarly, corn drying and husking projects are essential for post-harvest operations, preparing crops for storage and sale.

These initiatives underscore the Agricultural Investments Department's commitment to advancing projects within the agricultural sector. By enhancing complementary activities, the department aims to improve the agricultural value chain and increase the efficiency of storage, handling, and marketing processes.
