Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced that there are no ongoing talks between Iran and the United States. Tehran has made it clear that it will not enter into any negotiations as long as Washington continues to violate the interim agreement reached in June.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araqchi mentioned that while there are no direct discussions, messages are being exchanged through intermediaries. He confirmed Iran's assertion that an agreement concerning the Strait of Hormuz between Tehran and Muscat is in its "final stages." Despite this progress, Araqchi clarified that the agreement will not result in the immediate reopening of the strategic waterway.

Araqchi further elaborated that the agreement aims to determine new shipping routes, which will be utilized once the United States meets other conditions and the strait is reopened to maritime traffic. This situation underscores the ongoing complexities in U.S.-Iran relations and highlights the significance of the Strait of Hormuz in international shipping and geopolitical negotiations.
