Baghdad: The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research are advancing to the next stages of the National University Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Applications Championship (NURAI 2026). The evaluation process for this prestigious event continues under the guidance of Dr. Haider Abdul Dhahd, the Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, 87 exceptional teams have been selected to progress to the online interview stage. These teams have been chosen as the top contenders across six competition tracks. The upcoming interviews will determine the top five projects in each track, culminating in a total of 30 projects that will qualify for the final ceremony.

The forthcoming stage involves comprehensive online discussions with specialized judging panels. These panels will focus on the scientific, technical, and applied aspects of each project, as well as their innovation and feasibility. The objective is to identify the projects that stand out for their excellence and potential impact.

The Higher Ministerial Committee acknowledged the efforts of participating universities, student teams, and judging panels. The committee praised the contribution of coordinators and supervisors in ensuring the success and smooth organization of the championship's various stages.
