Baghdad: The Iraqi Meteorological Organization has announced that temperatures are expected to continue rising over the coming days across the country.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the organization released a statement forecasting clear weather with some scattered clouds in the central and southern regions. Light and variable winds are expected, with temperatures remaining similar to those recorded today throughout Iraq.

The forecast details maximum temperatures for the following day, Tuesday, with figures reaching 40 degrees Celsius in Dohuk, 41 in Sulaimaniyah, 43 in Erbil, 44 in Nineveh, 45 in Kirkuk, and 47 in Salah al-Din. Anbar is expected to see temperatures of 46 degrees, while Diyala and Baghdad are anticipated to reach 48. The governorates of Karbala, Babylon, Wasit, Diwaniyah, Najaf, Muthanna, and Basra are forecasted to experience temperatures of 49 degrees. The highest temperatures are predicted in Maysan and Dhi Qar, reaching up to 50 degrees Celsius.

The statement further indicated that Wednesday’s weather will remain clear with scattered clouds, with temperatures slightly higher than the previous day. The trend of clear skies with some clouds will continue into Thursday and Friday, with temperatures similar to those recorded on Wednesday.
