Baghdad: The Ministry of Education is organizing a field exercise to enhance preparedness and implement safety and civil defense requirements. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, under the supervision of the Civil Defense Directorate, has initiated a comprehensive field exercise to evaluate and improve the readiness and response capabilities for accidents and emergencies. This initiative aligns with the approved safety plans and procedures.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the exercise took place at the Andalus Complex building and involved simulating emergency situations to test evacuation and response plans. The objective was to ensure the readiness of safety and security requirements within the building. Additionally, staff received training on organized procedures for handling incidents, aimed at ensuring rapid response and minimizing risks.

The Ministry emphasized that this exercise is part of its ongoing commitment to implementing civil defense, safety, and security protocols within its departments. It is also focused on raising awareness of preventive measures and emergency response procedures. This commitment is being reinforced through various awareness and training programs, including workshops, lectures, and additional field exercises related to emergency and evacuation plans.
