Baghdad: The Technical Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Mithaq Abdul Hussein Al-Khafaji, held a meeting with representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to discuss the rehabilitation of damaged development and investment projects in Sinjar District and to support humanitarian and development efforts for the return of displaced persons.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting addressed the priorities of the agricultural sector in the district, including crops, livestock activities, agricultural value chains, investment, veterinary services, financing, storage, processing, marketing, and market access.

Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening the partnership with UNDP and international organizations to develop sustainable production projects, revitalize the agricultural sector, and create job opportunities, thereby contributing to social stability and creating the conditions for the safe and stable return of displaced persons.
