Amman: The Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, engaged in discussions with the Commander of the US Central Command regarding the latest security developments in the region and strategies to enhance joint efforts.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Defense released a statement indicating that Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah participated in a high-level military meeting in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. This meeting included the Chairman of the Jordanian Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Chief of the General Staff of the Syrian Army and Armed Forces, and the Minister of Peshmerga Affairs and Chief of Staff of the Peshmerga Forces in the Kurdistan Regional Government.
The ministry’s statement highlighted that the meeting aimed to fortify military relations among the participating parties and to establish a framework for joint cooperation and coordination. This initiative is in response to the rapid developments and security challenges in the region, aiming to support security, stability, and the protection of common interests.
Participants of the meeting addressed several topics of mutual interest, primarily focusing on regional security, border protection, and confronting cross-border threats.
