Basra Education Directorate Tackles Human Trafficking and Organ Trafficking in Seminar


Basra: An awareness seminar on human trafficking and organ trafficking was held today at the Al-Deir Education Department hall in northern Basra. The seminar, organized by the Women’s Affairs Division of the Basra Directorate General of Education in cooperation with the Al-Deir Education Department and the Community Police, was moderated by Lieutenant Colonel Muntadhar Kadhim Na’ma of the Basra Community Police Department. It addressed the most prominent forms of human trafficking and organ trafficking, the dangers associated with them, methods of prevention and reduction of these phenomena, and ways to enhance community awareness of their risks.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the seminar emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination between educational institutions and security agencies, given its active role in disseminating preventative culture and strengthening community protection, particularly by raising awareness among educational staff, students, and community members.



This seminar is part of the awareness programs implemented by the Women’s Affairs Division, aimed at protecting families and society and enhancing the role of educational institutions in addressing phenomena and dangers that threaten the security and safety of society, in order to achieve effective community awareness and better protection for individuals.
