Basra: Al-Saad announces its rejection of the decision to transfer part of Basra’s electricity to Dhi Qar. Basra MP, Suzan Al-Saad, expressed her outright opposition to the directive issued by the General Company for Electricity Distribution in the South. The decision involves connecting the Al-Fahoud and Al-Jubayish districts in Dhi Qar Governorate to the Basra electricity grid.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Saad emphasized in her statement that safeguarding the rights of Basra citizens and protecting their essential services are top priorities that cannot be compromised. She asserted that exceeding the governorate’s allocated electricity share is entirely unacceptable.
