Baghdad: Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National Wisdom Movement, has highlighted the critical importance of empowering Iraq’s youth, describing it as a shared national responsibility that starts with education, training, and job opportunities.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Hakim made this statement in celebration of International Youth Day, emphasizing the pivotal role young Iraqis play in the nation’s development. He extended greetings to the youth, acknowledging them as the true wealth and renewable energy of Iraq, and recognizing them as key partners in both the present and future of the nation.
Al-Hakim stressed that empowering young people requires a comprehensive approach that includes education, training, and employment opportunities. He further highlighted the necessity for youth to participate actively in public life and decision-making processes. Additionally, he underscored the importance of protecting young people from dangers such as drugs, crime, and terrorism, while also fostering an environment that supports creativity and innovation in various fields including culture, sports, and development.
He reassured that addressing the issues faced by the youth will remain a top priority, ensuring a more secure and prosperous future for them.
