Faihan and Al-Mandalawi Discuss Parliamentary Work Plan and Strengthening Understandings


Baghdad: The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Adnan Faihan Al-Dulaimi, met with Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, head of the Iraqi Foundation Alliance, to deliberate on the parliamentary work plan and its key priorities.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the First Deputy Speaker’s office detailed that Faihan hosted Al-Mandalawi, the leader of the Foundation parliamentary bloc, along with several of its members. This meeting is part of Faihan’s ongoing initiatives to engage with national forces and parliamentary blocs to fortify communication and unify perspectives regarding current priorities. The aim is to support the parliamentary work trajectory, enhance the House of Representatives’ performance in fulfilling its duties, and bolster its capacity to meet national obligations.



The discussions between the two leaders focused on the parliamentary work plan and its significant priorities, as well as other shared files and issues. They explored ways to improve cooperation and coordination among parliamentary blocs to ensure the council’s smooth operations and the successful fulfillment of its responsibilities.



Both parties underscored the significance of unifying positions and building parliamentary understandings on national issues, which they believe will contribute to advancing parliamentary work and strengthening the legislative and oversight roles.
