Baghdad: Minister of Communications Mustafa Jabbar Sand announced on Wednesday the unification of home fiber optic internet packages for all companies and a reduction in the prices of premium packages, effective September 1st.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sand stated in a press release that the new internet package structure aims to standardize offerings across FTTH companies and make high-speed internet more accessible. The new pricing structure includes four tiers: the Bronze Package priced between 30,000-35,000 Iraqi dinars with a minimum speed of 50 Mbps, the Silver Package at 45,000 Iraqi dinars offering at least 100 Mbps and access to sports, arts, and entertainment content, the Gold Package priced at 65,000 Iraqi dinars with a minimum speed of 180 Mbps and similar content access, and the Diamond Package costing 100,000 Iraqi dinars with a minimum speed of 300 Mbps, also including sports, arts, and entertainment content.

Sand emphasized that the implementation of these packages will be fac
ilitated through an application available to all users, allowing for payments without additional fees or intermediaries. A seven-day grace period for payments will be provided under the condition that the customer has maintained service with the same company for the previous six months.
