Baghdad: Civil Defense teams successfully extinguished a fire that erupted inside a commercial and residential building in the Dora district south of Baghdad, rescuing 12 residents.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Civil Defense Directorate announced in a press release that the fire broke out inside a four-story commercial and residential building due to an electrical fault in the building’s main distribution panel. The fire prompted an immediate response from fire and rescue teams, who rushed to the scene upon receiving the report.

The press release detailed how the Civil Defense teams managed to contain the blaze and prevent its spread to other parts of the building. They implemented a rapid evacuation plan to ensure the safety of the 12 residents, representing several families, who were successfully rescued. The teams were able to bring the fire under complete control and extinguish it without any reported injuries.
