Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi received Nouri Kamel Al-Maliki, Head of the State of Law Coalition, for a meeting that focused on bolstering the government’s efforts in combating corruption and ensuring state control over arms. The discussions also included the ongoing formation of the Cabinet to enhance the effectiveness of state institutions and government operations.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the meeting emphasized the need to support government measures aimed at promoting integrity, advancing economic reform, and ensuring that all arms remain under state authority. These measures are intended to uphold the rule of law, contribute to security and stability, and protect state institutions.

The discussions also extended to Iraq’s foreign relations, highlighting the importance of continued engagement with regional and international partners. The leaders stressed the significance of strengthening economic and investment partnerships to tackle current regional challenges and their effects on the Iraqi economy.
