Diwaniyah: The Governor of Diwaniyah, Abbas al-Zamili, announced plans to meet with Prime Minister Ali Falih al-Zaidi at the Government Palace on Saturday to present the “Province Reconstruction Fund” project.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the governorate’s media office reported that al-Zamili’s discussions with the Prime Minister will focus on mechanisms to expedite funding for stalled ministerial projects. These projects are specifically aimed at rehabilitating neighborhoods and areas in the city center to enhance public services and healthcare.
Al-Zamili plans to propose the establishment of a Diwaniyah Reconstruction Fund, emphasizing the inclusion of strategic projects that have a direct impact on citizens’ lives. He also expressed his support for local government efforts to address encroachments, remove informal settlements, protect public property, and enforce the rule of law for everyone.
